Naia, Leslie & Nathan {Fall Mini}| Redmond Family Photographer

Posted on November 5, 2010

You may recall that I got to photograph this fabulous family back in May, when Naia was just starting to think about walking and was much easier to catch! ;) My how she’s grown! And, what a cutie she still is. I love that I’ve gotten to document her stages this past year and hope to continue doing so for a long, long time. It is such a pleasure to spend time with all three of these lovely people. We spent some time at Perrigo Park on a fabulous fall day a few weeks ago and I, for one, had a great time! Thanks guys for another awesomely fun day and letting me capture your sweet family on “film.”

The Straka Family {Fall Mini}| Redmond, WA Family Photographer

The Strakas are one of my favorite little families and though I photographed the kids about 5 months ago, this is the first time I got to do a session with the whole family! It was another couldn’t-be-more-perfect fall day on Sunday, and Perrigo Park could not have been better for photos this year! Having done several sessions basically in the same place, it’s always cool to see how many different “looks” you can get from one area. ;)

The golden fall sun was wicked awesome as well and really makes everyone look so good-I love it! It’s not hard though, when you’ve got a family this good-looking to begin with! I just can’t believe how big my little buddy Erik has gotten and how different his little sister Ellie looks in such a short amount of time! He could be a little clothing model and she is already quite the hilarious little ham-she’s definitely got her “looks” down already. They both cracked me up while I got to chat with their parents along the way. It’s fun to watch your friend’s kids be themselves without worrying about yours running the opposite direction sometimes. Heh. ;)

The Bagley Family {Fall Mini} | Redmond, WA Family Photographer

Posted on October 17, 2010

Today was the first day of Fall Mini Sessions and I had the good fortune to meet the Bagley Family on an absolutely gorgeous day! We wandered around Perrigo Park looking for snakes and caterpillars along the trail. It was fun to follow the boys around since it gave me a reminder of my not so long ago past, since Emmett is around a year and a half old and a glimpse into my not so far off future, since big brother Owen is 4. They are both super cute and total crack ups too. Little Emmett is totally enthralled with his older brother and must copy everything he does, so sweet. And Owen, being the protective older brother, made sure to tell Emmett when to be careful, again, totally sweet.

Thanks Bagley Family for a wonderful morning in the sun! And, I hope you got your chicken coop finished this afternoon! ;)

Elowen’s Birthday| Bellevue, WA Newborn Photographer

Posted on October 10, 2010

On October 1, 2010, I had the distinct pleasure of being one of the first to welcome little Elowen Flora into the world! What a beautiful day to be born. Her mama and dada (Jess & Eric) asked me to join them at the hospital to document her arrival. I was very honored that they would choose me to share in their special day. It was definitely an awesome feeling to be able to help celebrate their sweet baby girl’s arrival.

Jess is an old friend of mine, whom I first worked with in 1998 when she was still in college. We were pregnant with our boys at the exact same time and had them 4 days apart! We’ve commiserated together, eaten (Azteca!) lots of times together and definitely shared celebrations together. I’m delight for her and Eric to have their wonderful little boy and big brother Magnus and now their lovely little girl to make them a happy family of 4. :) Thank you both for letting me be a part of your family for the day. <3

The following photos don’t do Elowen’s sweetness, softness, and delicious baby smell justice, but I hope that I was able to capture a few unforgettable first moments for her and her family.

It was a beautiful Fall day about a week and a half ago when I got to photograph Jeff & Lisa and their sweet girls. I met Lisa when we were in a Mommy & me class almost 3 years ago with our then tiny babies. I cannot believe they will both be turning 3 soon and that Jeff & Lisa have another beautiful little girl, who just turned 1, now as well. I’m so glad we’ve gotten to know each other these past few years and look forward to many more good times together!

Denny Park is a favorite Kirkland location of mine and my clients for photo shoots since there are so many different looks you can get from one great park. It’s got it all-beach front, trees, bridges, cool wooden fences and boardwalks…and is especially nice in the sun. :)

I think it’s safe to say we had pretty much perfect weather on this lovely day and we all had fun exploring the park together. I love that they chose ORANGE tutus for the girls to wear (since, if you know me, you know I have a “thing” for orange ;) ) for their photos and think the colors looked great with the sun, leaves and awesome golden fall light. Enjoy the cuteness of this fabulous little family!

The Lovell Family-Mini Session| Bellevue Family Photographer

Posted on September 29, 2010

I got to do a fun mini session for the Lovell family last week at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. It’s always fun shooting clients that are also friends of mine. :) Cherie entered and won a raffle I donated a mini session to a few months back for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk that our mutual friend Deborah participated in this past weekend (Congrats Deborah and the Pink Pumas!).

We shot fast and furious for this session since the sun has started disappearing so much earlier these days. But, it turned out well, since the golden light of sunset is always so pretty and allows for some nice flare, which those of you who know me, know I LOVE. ;) I even grabbed a few shots of grandma with Caylee, which was none too easy, since Caylee is like Sam and doesn’t like to slow down for the camera, heh.

When it was all over we were hungry, so our families headed out to dinner together at the Cheesecake Factory. Good times, good friends, good food and (hopefully) good photos! :)

Adam & Tiffany {Engagement}|Redmond, WA Photographer

Posted on September 28, 2010

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of photographing my dear friends Adam & Tiffany for their engagement. I love these two and they are a cherished part of our family. Adam is one of the most loyal, helpful friends you’ll ever have the honor of knowing and Tiffany is one of the most honest and faithful women I have had the good fortune to have in my life. Those are just a few of the myriad reasons I love them. We don’t get to see them often enough since they are hard working truck drivers, so I wanted to make sure they remember how special they are to us! :)

And, to continue the love-fest, these two wonderful people have found each other and are just perfect for one another. I am so glad you two have found the love you deserve and wish you many more years of happiness, good fortune and love together.

You can see the love…

…it’s the way he looks at her…

…and they way she looks at him…

…the way they look at each other…

…and especially the way they laugh together…

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials in Vegas you two!!

So, I’m a little behind, but I wanted to blog Niveya’s session anyway! She is the granddaughter of a lovely lady I used to work with at Alaska Marine Lines. She is a very sweet 7 year old beauty. I love that she threw in a few ideas of her own for photos to make the session truly hers. I had a great morning hanging out with Patti and Niveya in downtown Kirkland, even if it was a bit windy and cold for a late August day! ;)

Haha!! This one cracks me up every time! She’s a clever one! :)

Cuteness Overload!-Kirkland & Bothell Children’s Photographer

Posted on August 6, 2010

I had the pleasure of photographing Mr. Jonah at his house today. What a sweet kid he is. He was such a good model and it only took the promise of 100 popsicles for cooperation to commence. HA!! No, really, he was pretty awesome, even though we made him wear a sweater and a bomber jacket in 85 degree weather. I promise, it was only for a total of about 4 minutes though! ;)

Enjoy the sweetness and don’t pass out from cuteness overload! :)
